I am a 3rd generation Croatian in the US ?Texas?. So I only know English?and some Spanish.
I love anything self collected?Trochidae/Turbinidae, and Cassidae.
Travels to collect have been to Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Florida and California.
I the late 1980s I began selling shell books and still do www.harf.org. I tried selling shells but it was too much work. I do try to trade shells?. it is the best way for me to get a variety good quality common shells from a region I cannot go to, marine ? land ? freshwater – fossil.
In the late 1990s I began exhibiting at shell shows and selling books at them too (paid for my trips)?that peaked about 2006. I have been to about 1-in-3 COA conventions since 1988 and sold books at them as well.
